Gapi announced an investment of 45 million meticals for the promotion of entrepreneurship in the rural areas of Niassa province, through the INCUBOX - Caixa Aberta program, launched this Tuesday in Maputo.
By creating ease of access to business training services, mentoring, technical assistance, and financial resources, INCUBOX also aims to develop start-ups in various economic sectors with development potential, according to Rui Miguel Amaral, Gapi's Deputy Director of Business Training and Consulting.
He said that the first districts to be covered by the project will be Cuamba, Mecanhelas and Mandimba.
The initiative will last 18 months and will be implemented through three incubators located in the aforementioned districts.
The INCUBOX may cover 120 beneficiaries, who must submit proposals for businesses with social and economic impact. Proposals that bring innovative and sustainable solutions to local problems will also be eligible.
