G7 aloca 4.700 milhões de euros para combater insegurança alimentar

The group of the seven most industrialized countries in the world (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States) today reached a commitment to spend 4.7 billion euros on measures to address "food insecurity" caused by the war in Ukraine.

The information about the funds to combat "food insecurity" was communicated to journalists by a senior US Administration official who is attending the G7 meeting, which is being held in Elmau, in the Bavarian Alps region.

According to the same source cited by the newspaper Económico, which was not identified, more than half of the fund (2.6 billion euros) comes from the United States.
