An official from the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, identified as Ana Salomé Jorge Massuanganhe, has been detained in India since January 8 for drug trafficking of an unspecified type and quantity.
Massuanganhe is a private assistant to the deputy minister of the MJACR and spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Filmão Suaze, who declined to comment on the matter because he is on vacation, according to the newspaper Evidence.
However, the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Helena Kida, confirmed what had happened, saying that she was still waiting for details from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, which was in charge of the matter.
The negotiations to extradite the Mozambican woman have still had positive effects for Mozambique. Until then, it was known that another official had been appointed to be Filmão Suaze's private assistant.
