The border of Ressano Garcia, in the district of Moamba, Maputo province, began, this Wednesday, to work without interruptions, that is, 24 hours, which only happened during the festive or Easter seasons.
The measure will reduce the flooding that has been registered recently as well as provide fluidity to the traffic of people and goods, in both directions.
The materialization of this objective is also the result of a request made by Mozambican businessmen in order to allow for greater speed in exports and imports.
In this sense, representatives of the governments of Mozambique and South Africa participated in the ceremony to make the new schedule official.
The authorities of both countries have also launched the Easter Safety and Security Plan, called "Easter 2022", which provides for high levels of security with joint operations targeting border areas.
