The Frelimo bench in the Quelimane Municipal Assembly called the press yesterday (04) to express its "displeasure" at the absence of Manuel de Araújo, the mayor, from the first session of the body.
According to a report in the newspaper "O País", the session was scheduled for March 13, but was postponed until March 28 and then rescheduled for April 1.
In this sense, Frelimo accused Manuel de Araújo of disrespecting the Municipal Assembly and the residents.
The president of the Quelimane Municipal Assembly, Manuel José, said that the first session was held because of a decision by the seven-member board. However, he also considered that the mayor's presence was not relevant.
