The Frelimo party, which won the last general elections, considers the post-election demonstrations to be an attempt to "subvert the democratic order" and is calling for an end to the vandalizing of its headquarters.
"The Political Commission considers that the acts of vandalism taking place in some parts of the country are attempts to subvert the democratic order and compromise the social order of Mozambicans," said Frelimo spokeswoman Ludmila Maguni.
Frelimo's Political Commission has called for an end to the destruction and vandalization in the country in the face of ongoing protests which, in addition to contesting election results, now include, among other concerns, calls for a reduction in the cost of living
Meeting last night, the Frelimo Political Commission also announced the dates for the fourth session of the Frelimo Central Committee, to be held from April 3 to 6.
