In response to the recent rains in the south of the country, FNB donated several products to the Makobo Platform, which will be used to help the victims of the floods in the Boane district.
FNB's donation is essentially made up of food products, hygiene articles and clothing. Some of the products were the result of donations from employees and others from the bank itself, which offered food products that will be used to prepare more than 3,300 meals for distribution among the affected families in Boane and the surrounding area.
According to Cláudia Chirindza, FNB Mozambique's Marketing and Communications Director, "this initiative will not solve all the problems that this situation has created, but we hope that it will at least help to minimize the basic needs that the impacted families face during the emergency and reconstruction period. A small gesture from each of us can make a huge difference at this critical time when all help is welcome."
Ruy M. Santos, founder of the Makobo Platform says, "It is a great honor and a huge privilege to be able to count on the support, generosity, solidarity and availability of FNB and its collaborators. For believing in us and our mission, helping us to reach more and more people, where and when it's really needed. GRATITUDE, together we are more."
"We thank the Makobo Platform for being the channel to get our help to those who need it and the FNB family, who joined in supporting the flood victims by contributing various products, allowing us to make this donation a reality," concluded Cláudia.
