The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, today mourned the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England.

In a message of condolence, posted on his Facebook account, the Head of State says it was with deep regret that he learned of the monarch's physical disappearance.

"The loyalty and sense of mission (you have shown) for your country and the world is admirable," the missive states.

According to the President, Queen Elizabeth II embodied a quiet vigor that the world was fortunate enough to witness over the decades.

"On behalf of the Mozambican people, the Government and in my own, I convey our heartfelt condolences to His Majesty King Charles, family, people and Government of the United Kingdom," the message reads. (NR)
