The president of the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF), Feizal Sidat, underwent a surgical procedure related to the arteries in his heart yesterday in a hospital in Cairo, Egypt, following heart complications.

According to a statement from the FMF, the surgery went without complications and Sidat is out of danger and recovering.

Hours before the incident, Sidat had paid a courtesy visit to the Egyptian National Team Center, where he was received by the president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), Hani Abu Rida.

The meeting aimed to discuss and explore ways of cooperation between the soccer federations of Egypt and Mozambique.
