The candidate for Mayor of Maputo for the New Democracy party in the local elections on October 11, 2023, Eunice Andrade, expressed her readiness to support Frelimo in the general elections on October 9.

"I'm going to roll up my sleeves, and I want to work with you for the future of our beautiful Mozambique," he said.

The "surrender" to the Frelimo party was expressed during a meeting between the party's candidate for the general elections, Daniel Chapo, and young businessmen in Maputo city.

After losing the local elections, Eunice Andrade said some time later that she was experiencing difficulties of various kinds, which led to depression.
