Economic stability is China's priority for 2022

The executive vice minister of the Communist Party's central committee on economic and financial affairs said that right now the most important thing is to ensure China's economic stability before the Communist Party meeting (China's only one) this year.

"All regions and departments must take responsibility for stabilizing the economy," Han Wenxiu said.

The official stressed that authorities should make efforts implemented policies to achieve this goal, while being cautious of those that may cause contraction. Wenxiu also called for fiscal spending to be accelerated, with infrastructure work "properly advanced."

Regarding the meeting, Xi Jinping is expected to run for a third term, considering that he has already taken steps to put himself in the same class as Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping, men who ruled the Asian nation until his death.

Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the legislature's Standing Committee, described the upcoming congress as "huge and deeply significant" and said that lawmakers should show the results before the event.
