Eni Rovuma Basin, Operator of the Coral South project on behalf of Mozambique Rovuma Venture and the Area 4 Partners, trained 51 elementary school teachers and 13 managers from the Paquitequete elementary school in the city of Pemba, Cabo Delgado province.
The closing ceremony took place on July 24 and was attended by the Governor of Cabo Delgado, Valige Tauabo and Giorgio Vicini, General Manager of Eni Rovuma Basin.
This initiative is part of the sustainability plan for the Coral South FLNG project and is part of the integrated education program that Eni Rovuma Basin is implementing in partnership with the Government of Cabo Delgado.
The training program lasted 22 months and ran from October 2021 to July 2023. During this period, various topics were taught in the areas of teaching and learning, as well as school management, as a way of increasing the trainees' pedagogical and management skills.
In addition to training teachers and administrators, Eni Rovuma Basin recently provided Paquitequete's schools with various school materials and equipment, and supplies around 4,000 children with school meals every day.
The implementation of these projects is part of Eni's commitment to contribute to inclusive, equitable and quality education, including the expansion of learning opportunities, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
