The companies affected by the violent demonstrations in Maputo province will be integrated into the Beluluane Industrial Park (PIB) free of charge until December this year.
The initiative, according to an AIM publication quoting Rádio Moçambique, is part of the project entitled "Industry for All", which is the result of a memorandum signed this Wednesday (05) between the Provincial Executive Council and MozParks aimed at economic recovery after the wave of looting and destruction.
Speaking at the launch of the "Maputo Parks" initiative and the "Industry for All" project, the general director of MozParks, Honório Boane, explained the terms of support for entrepreneurs.
"We want to make the infrastructures of the Beluluane Industrial Park available to the distinguished businesspeople present here on extremely subsidized terms," said Honório Boane.
"It's like a mahala to come here to the Beluluane Industrial Park as part of this 'Industry for All' initiative," he added.
"Those companies that, directly or indirectly, have been affected by the demonstrations that the country has seen since October until now, please contact us because we have a solution to support you above 90% of what has been the practice of our collection will be exempt for you," he said.
For his part, the Governor of Maputo province, Manuel Tule, one of the signatories of the memorandum, said that this was one of the actions to rescue the local economy, which had been severely affected by the impact of the demonstrations.
"The initiative covers both the free zone and non-free zone areas of the park, creating various opportunities for companies in Mozambique to set up or expand their businesses, in order to generate employment and contribute to the country's economic recovery," said Tule.
He also said that by reducing financial barriers, the project creates favorable conditions for the growth of local companies."
