A mission of Dutch businesspeople is in Manica province looking for investment opportunities in various business sectors.
According to the press release, a total of 20 Dutch companies are looking for opportunities mainly in the areas of agribusiness, with a focus on seeds, agrology, poultry farming and agroforestry systems.
The aim of this mission is to explore business opportunities in Mozambique.
The visit will include, among other things, meetings with relevant public and private institutions in Beira (17 March), Chimoio (17, 18 and 19 March) and Maputo (19 to 21 March), with the organization of a trade fair, a seminar and round tables.
"The agricultural sector here in Manica has a lot of potential, especially this region of Manica has the most favorable conditions and Holland is interested in doing business, as you know, Holland is the second largest producer in the world in terms of agriculture. However, many of our products are processed in Holland, so we also need to have processed products all over the world," said one of the investors.
The organization of this mission is the result of a partnership between the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mozambique, the Netherlands-Africa Business Council (NABC) and the Mozambique-Netherlands Chamber of Commerce.
Representing the Netherlands, the mission is led by the International Director for Agribusiness and Food Security of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, and representing the companies, by the CEO of HVA International, an agricultural and asset management company based in the Netherlands, with extensive experience in developing tropical agriculture projects.
