Mozambican businesswoman Jónia Ismael Chilusse Presado raised the flag of Mozambique to the highest international level at the graduation ceremony, where she was formally awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy in the Leadership and Business Management Category, held on October 12, 2024, in the United States of America, in Atlanta, by Veridian Christian University.
Among the 20 awardees at the graduation ceremony, Jónia Ismael Presado is the first Mozambican representing the only country in the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) to receive a doctorate in philosophy in the leadership and business management category from Veridian Christian University.
This prestigious international appointment is in recognition of his exemplary achievements and significantly outstanding contributions to the business environment and society in general.
His dedication and hard work have not only advanced the field of leadership and entrepreneurship, but have also positively impacted countless individuals and organizations. His leadership, innovative approaches and unwavering commitment to excellence serve as an inspiration to many.
The appointment was made in July 2024, on the recommendation and proposal of the Board of Regents and the Board of Professors of Veridian Chritian University in Atlanta, with all the rights, privileges and benefits that accompany this distinction.
The recent "Honoris Causa" doctor is one of the 100 most influential Black Personalities in Lusophone countries, and has received many other national and international distinctions.
Jónia Presado is a prominent marketing professional in the areas of marketing, communication and public relations, who currently works as Marketing, Communication and Public Relations Director at MultiChoice Mozambique, the largest player in the television and entertainment industry, where she leads communication initiatives for the DStv and GOtv brands.
In recognition of her achievements, she was recently honored with the "Best Communications Professional" award for 2024 by the COMARP Awards, an award that celebrates excellence in Marketing and Public Relations in Mozambique, and this year she was considered one of the 30 best female leaders by Pivoting in Hills 2024.
In addition to these, Jónia Presado's list of awards includes the top 50 women leaders in Africa award from the WIMA Awards. (Press release)
