The Assembly of the Republic's (AR) Standing Committee (SC) has scheduled an urgent parliamentary session for today to consider and debate the document on the Political Commitment for an Inclusive National Dialogue.
The document was signed recently in Maputo between the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, and various political parties. The PR asked parliament to prioritize the document on the agenda of issues to be addressed in the "House of the People".
Speaking yesterday after the end of the 3rd ordinary session of the AR's PC, the spokesman, Manuel Ramessane, said that the session will start at 9am today and called on the Mozambican people to pay attention, as this is a matter of national interest.
After the proposal has been presented, the Committees on Constitutional Affairs, Human Rights and Legality (1st Committee), Social Affairs, Gender, Technology and Social Communication (3rd Committee) and Public Administration and Local Government (4th Committee) will then give their opinions.
According to Ramessane, the proposal will be considered in general and special on the same Wednesday.
