Em Nampula, Chapo visita áreas devastadas pela tempestade Jude

The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, is visiting the areas affected by the severe tropical storm JUDE in Nampula today.

The passage of the tropical storm caused significant material damage in the provinces of Nampula, Niassa and Zambézia, including the interruption of National Road number one (EN1), which connects the provinces of Nampula and Cabo Delgado, in the north of the country.

In Nampula, the Head of State intends to assess the impact of the destruction, show solidarity with the affected communities and coordinate response and recovery actions to minimize the effects of the disaster.

This week, the Governor of Nampula, Eduardo Abdula, visited Anchilo, one of the points on National Road Number One (EN1) that was cut off as a result of the fury of the storm waters.

Yesterday, the Executive said that preliminary figures point to 14 deaths, 60 injured, more than a hundred displaced and dozens of infrastructures partially or completely destroyed.
