Mozambican economy grew 3.4% in the last three months

The Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, said this Wednesday in parliament that the national economy has recorded a growth of 3.4% in the last three months as a result of increased production in the mining sector and a slight slowdown in the impact of Covid 19 on businesses.

"The growth is also a result of the efforts of the Government that has been responding positively to the challenges related to peacekeeping, prevention and fighting terrorism in some districts of Cabo Delgado province," says Prime Minister.

Still, despite this evolution, the governor said that there are still some challenges, but "these cannot distract the Mozambicans from the focus that is to create conditions for the continuous improvement of their living conditions.
