We need to understand the message that the demonstrations are trying to convey

É preciso compreender a mensagem que as manifestações querem transimitir

The country must try to understand the message that the demonstrations are conveying or intend to convey, according to the Archbishop of Beira, Monsignor Claudio Dalla Zuana.

"These demonstrations and reactions somehow want to communicate something, but they communicate poorly. It's something the people feel. So, at a political and administrative level, we have to see what signals everyone is going to hear in order to move forward together," he said.

He advocates an open and collective dialog involving entities capable of outlining a strategy to establish better conditions. In this vein, the first entities to be included in the dialog would be those elected by the people.

In fact, "it's about creating a different mentality", and this applies to all parts of society, including the churches and the media.

"Everyone must contribute to creating a mentality of unity, cohesion and common good... there seems to be a lack of a country project," he said.
