At least two roads, namely Lugela-Mocuba and Milange-Mulumbo, in Zambézia province are, since Monday, interrupted due to the increase in the flow of the Lugela and Luo rivers, respectively, associated with the rains that have been falling in different parts of the country.
In addition to the cutting of access roads there are reports of flooded farm fields.
ARA North director Carlitos Omar said just moments ago on Sunday that the Mocuba and Gurué stations have exceeded the alert level.
For example, the Mocuba station, whose alert level is 6 meters, until 12 noon on Monday was at 8.10 meters, and the Gurué station with an alert level of 3.50 meters, is now at 4.50 meters.
