Part of the PODEMOS party candidate delegates who supervised the October 9 elections in Quelimane mutinied this Wednesday (17) in front of the provincial delegation to demand their allowances, as agreed..
In all, there are about 400 participants who have been waiting for their money for about a week, but so far have been met with silence.
In a Diário da ZambéziaJossane Miranda, one of those who took part in the vote, said he felt cheated because no one locally had commented on the matter. "They had told us that after the elections they would pay us, but so far nothing," he lamented, for whom, "we arrived here on Saturday, they said they would pay us on Monday, we came, also without success and we were even roared at," Miranda added.
On the other hand, our interviewee accuses the leadership supporting Venâncio Mondlane's candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic of lying, because "practically what they did to us was to use us. They say that the other parties are thieves, but they're also stealing from us," said the source, for whom, "even on the day of the elections we were promised water and food, but we haven't received any of that," he added.
Meanwhile, according to the same publication, the party leadership at Zambezia level has not commented on the matter and has ignored all telephone calls.
