The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, canceled his participation today, Thursday (30), in the Extraordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government, taking place in Harare, in the Republic of Zimbabwe.
According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, he will no longer take part in the meeting that will assess the security situation in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, given the recent escalation of violence in the province of Goma, as well as obtaining information on the SADC Mission in the DRC.
At the summit, the heads of state and government will also deliberate on the measures to be implemented with a view to restoring peace and stability in the region.
