With the arrival of these doses of vaccines, the number rises to 360 thousand vaccines coming from Portugal to Mozambique, in the scope of the Action Plan in the Health Response to the Pandemic Covid-19.
The batch of vaccines from AstraZeneca, arrives this Saturday in the Mozambican capital and will be delivered by the Portuguese Embassy to the Mozambican authorities, says the statement of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
The vaccines arrive through the Portuguese airline, TAP, under the scope of the Institutional Partnership Agreement that was signed between the national carrier and Camões - Institute for Cooperation and Language, on September 30th of this year.
The materialization of this action is the result of the joint effort of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, namely through Camões - Institute for Cooperation and Language, the Portuguese Embassy in Maputo, the Ministry of Health, through the Directorate-General of Health (DGS) and the National Authority of Medicines and Health Products (INFARMED).
