Meet the NitroPhone 1, the "world's safest" Android phone

The smartphone market is filled with several appealing offers and features targeted to the most diverse consumer interests. However, security is increasingly one of the points sought by those who want to have a reliable equipment.

In this regard, the NitroPhone 1 has now been made official. It is characterized as being the world's most secure Android smartphone and has Edward Snowden's full approval.

Nitrokey is a German company aimed at developing products that ensure the safety of users' digital lives. In this sense, the brand has now made official its NitroPhone 1, which is reportedly focused on security and privacy, and also features robust hardware.

According to the company, this is the most secure Android smartphone on the planet. It is based on the Google Pixel 4a and features the GrapheneOS operating system. At product sales page, it reads as follows:

The NitroPhone combines security, privacy, and ease of use with modern hardware. It is based on the high-end Pixel 4a and GrapheneOS, the most robust Android for professionals. Get full control of your smartphone without Google or Apple!

As for hardware, the NitroPhone 1 brings a 5.81-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, Snapdragon 730G processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As far as cameras are concerned it brings only a 12.2 MP sensor at the rear and an 8 MP selfie camera.

The strong point is undoubtedly the GrapheneOS operating system, a platform with enhanced protection against sophisticated attacks and verified boot that ensures that the system has not been modified. In addition, it is also configured to automatically close some Android apps after they have been open for a certain period of time.

Another detail is that the system 'scrambles' the numbers when the user enters the unlock PIN, in order to prevent third parties from trying to crack the code.
