Tropical cyclone "Freddy" became a severe tropical storm this morning, with winds between 110 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 160 kilometers per hour.

According to the press release issued by the National Meteorological Institute (INAM), the system continues to move towards the Mozambican coast at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour.

In view of this situation, INAM recommends taking precautionary measures in the face of strong winds and rainfall of up to 200 millimetres.
