Rains cause the destruction of more than 60 houses in Niassa

Some 62 houses, mostly of precarious construction, were destroyed in the first two weeks of this month as a result of excessive rainfall in Sanga district, Niassa province.

The situation has affected more than 350 people in need of multiform support.

According to Notícias newspaper, during this period, the rain caused the collapse of two bridges, over the Luatize and Ntolange rivers that give access to the headquarters of Mavago district and the connection of Chimbunila district to Majune.
