Yesterday, the Constitutional Council (CC) notified the National Electoral Commission (CNE), in the person of its president, Dom Carlos Matsinhe, to present the justifications for the discrepancies in the numbers of voters in the three elections.

Mozambique held its 7th general elections on October 9, namely the presidential, legislative and provincial assembly elections.

The CC document sets a deadline of 72 hours for the arguments for the request to be presented.
