The national futsal team is holding its final training session today to consolidate its playing techniques for Saturday's match against Zambia in Maputo.

Work on the national team has been going on for around a month at the Eduardo Mondlane University pavilion, which will be the venue for the clash, and the league.

The match, scheduled for 6 p.m., is a qualifier for the first round of the African Nations Championship (CAN) in Morocco in April.

The coach has 18 national players available who play for national clubs. The squad list is dominated by players from Grupo Desportivo Iquebal (champions) and Atlético Moçambique (runners-up), according to the News.

The second round will take place in Lusaka on February 10. The winner of the qualifier will qualify directly for the CAN, where eight teams will take part.
