Nine stadiums located in the cities of Rabat, Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Tangier and FES in Morocco have been approved by the Confederation of African Football to host the final phase of the CAN 2025.
The stadiums of FES, Stade de Marrakech, Stade de Adrar, Stade Mohamed V, Prince Moulay Abdellah, IBN Batouta and Stade de Tanger are the nine venues approved by the Confederation of African Football to host the CAN 2025.
The stadiums are located in six cities in Morocco, which from December 21 this year will be the capital of African soccer until January 18, 2026.
The Stade IBN Batouta is the biggest of them all, with a capacity for 80,000 spectators. The North African country is at the forefront of preparations for Africa's biggest international soccer event, which CAF believes should surpass the previous edition, the final phase of which was held in Côte d'Ivoire.
This week, the Executive Committee of African soccer's governing body received a detailed report on the preparations for the event from the Moroccan structures.
CAN 2025 will bring together the 24 best teams in Africa, including Mozambique, which according to the draw made this Monday, is in group F of the competition along with Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Gabon. (Source: O País)
