Cabo Delgado/Acuabe: Sobe de três para seis o número de mortos em ataques terroristas

The number of people killed by terrorists on March 31 in the Ancuabe district of Cabo Delgado province has risen from three to six. The "new victims" are two civilians and a member of the local force.

According to Zumbo FM, of the six victims, four are civilians and two are from the local force. The terrorist incursions into the villages of Ancuabe caused the destruction of houses and public infrastructure.

Contradictory reports also emerged about the actions of the security forces, including the presence of foreign military personnel and the lack of an effective response on the ground, notes the portal.

One of the sources reported a clash between members of the Al-Shabaab group and the inhabitants of the village of Ungura. Another source indicated that the terrorists had advanced to the village of Mione, where a member of the local force was killed.

The Head of Local Force Operations, César Cacita, was contacted but would not share details about the attacks, saying that his team was still on the ground investigating the situation. (Source: Zumbo FM)
