The spokesman for Cabo Delgado's education sector revealed that 88 schools in the province will not reopen for the current school year, which officially began on Friday.
According to Rachid Sualé, some schools will not reopen due to the phenomena that have plagued the province, such as terrorism and climatic events that have destroyed infrastructure this year.
On the other hand, more than 70 educational and learning establishments that had been closed due to terrorism will reopen.
Of the twelve hundred schools in the province, only nine hundred and twenty-four will be in operation.
Mocímboa da Praia, Macomia, Ancuabe, Quissanga, Ibo and Meluco are the districts that will be reopening some schools. (Source: RM)
