The Minister of Transport and Communications (MTC) recognizes the vulnerability of communications systems to money laundering crimes. Mateus Magala therefore advocates investing in the secure digital transformation of communications.

"Transport, in the sense of communications, we are making efforts to accelerate the digital transformation," he said.

The Minister said that his department was working with other stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, to improve cyber security.

For Magala, digitalization is so important because it will reduce human intervention, ensure greater transparency and reduce the risk of money laundering.

He acknowledged the weaknesses of communications and told the press that it would be an illusion otherwise. "This world is very real".
