More than 850 customers of the company Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), in the Malhangalene, Mafalala and Alto-Maé neighborhoods in Maputo city, are without electricity due to a breakdown.

According to a statement issued by the state-owned electricity company, the fault occurred in a medium-voltage cable that feeds the N2 switching station, on Avenida Acordos de Lusaka, in the city of Maputo.

"EDM's technical teams are already on the ground to repair the fault, in order to ensure that the normal supply is restored," says the same note, appealing that during this period of technical intervention, all installations should be considered live to avoid accidents or electrocution.
