The second series of the Classical Music Season 2024 kicks off tomorrow and will continue on the 17th, 18th and 22nd of this month in Maputo City, at the Mozambique-China Cultural Center, Montebelo Indy Congress Hotel and the National Library of Mozambique.

In this second edition, Xiquitsi will be joined by the Matosinhos String Quartet, which is visiting Mozambique for the first time and joining the Xiquitsi Orchestra to perform works by F. Mendelssohn, F. Schubert, Vila - Lobos and Benjamin Britten.

Maya Egashira promises to thrill everyone with her unique interpretation. In addition, students Xiquitsi, Alexandre Munguambe and Khanyile Dimande will also bring all their passion and dedication to music to share with the audience, according to the press release.

On August 16 and 17, at 7 p.m., the "Classical Evening" will be dedicated to two concerts with different repertoires at the Mozambique-China Cultural Center.

On August 18, there will be an interactive "Concert for Parents and Children" at 4pm at the Montebelo Indy Congress Hotel. Admission will be free, providing the opportunity to enjoy classical music as a family.

And to end on a high note, the "Noite Fora de Série" is scheduled for August 22 at 7pm at the National Library of Mozambique. This will be a Latin Jazz event with free admission and an unmissable opportunity for lovers of this musical genre.
