The Council of Ministers approved this Wednesday the draft law to reprehend and combat terrorism, to be submitted to the Parliament.

The future law, which is expected to repeal law no. 5/2018, of August 12, will also apply to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, related actions and terrorist acts committed in national territory or abroad, but that their authors are in Mozambique and cannot be extradited.

Recall that on Monday, SADC announced the creation of a Regional Counter Terrorism Center based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for the region to deal with threats such as the armed insurgency in northern Mozambique.
