Road accidents continue to cause embarrassment for citizens traveling in Maputo city. This time, Avenida 24 de Julho, near the Malanga market, witnessed multiple vehicle collisions.

The collision involved more than four vehicles, including a semi-collective passenger transport, which was leaving the city center for the city of Matola.

The vehicle allegedly lost its brakes and invaded the oncoming lane. It hit two light vehicles, which were also hit by the other vehicles following them.

There was no human damage from the incident.

A video shows the vehicles still at the scene of the collisions and the citizen making the video says that the driver of the semi-truck fled after the accident.

However, the police arrived at the scene and took the drivers of the damaged cars to a police unit at José Macamo Hospital, where the driver of the semi-truck was held responsible for all the damage.
