ANAC eleita “Expositor Revelação” na 10.ª edição da Feira Internacional de Turismo

Yesterday (11), the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC) was awarded the "Revelation Exhibitor" prize by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through the National Tourism Institute (INATUR) at the 10th edition of the International Tourism Fair - FIKANI 2024.

During FIKANI 2024, ANAC presented exhibitors and visitors with themes such as: "Connecting Man to Nature" and "Ready to Conserve the Environment", with the "Papa Manhure" elephant from the Environmental Interpretation Center (CIAM) being one of the main attractions.

According to the director-general of ANAC, Pejul Calenga, the institution took the opportunity during the fair to thank its cooperation partners for their support in the preservation and conservation of wildlife.

"We take this opportunity to continue thanking our partners such as the Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) through the Mozbio 2 Project, NATURA, Gorongosa Project, Peace Parks Foundation (PPF) Wildilife Conservation Society (WCS), African Parks (AP), Fondation François Sommer (FFS - IGF), the European Union through the Promote Biodiversity and Fauna Flora project," said Pejul Calenga.

The 10th FIKANI was an opportunity to create mechanisms for offering services and promotional packages for air, rail and road transport and to promote packages for tours and professional internships in the tourism sector, thus opening a window for attracting investment and selling the country's image abroad.

Founded in 2011, ANAC is a state institution responsible for biodiversity conservation and the sustainable development of ecotourism in Mozambique. Its main functions involve planning, coordinating and executing activities in conservation areas, in partnership with other organizations and local communities.
