Seven new areas of the Mozambican Association of Companies and Professionals Human Resources (AMEPRH) took office in Maputo.
These are the Training and Development areas, which will be headed by Mónica Macamo, Culture by Nália Agostinho, Local Content by Elthon Chemane, Innovation and Technology by Sazia Sousa, Energy by Jocelyne Machevo, Inclusion and Diversity by João Cuna, and finally Sports by the former basketball player, Ilidio Caifaz.
Gaspar Buque, vice president of AMEPRH said that one of the objectives that guided the creation of the portfolios is to ensure that all members of AMEPRH have a specialized portfolio that is aligned with what are their goals as members of the Association, as well as being aligned with what are the personal goals. "We want these new members to feel identified, and that they can contribute in an active way in the association with areas and specialty bodies for each area of activity," he mentioned during his speech.
And what do the inductees say?
Nália Agostinho, who is also a plastic artist, said that she intends to create projects for the development of the creative industry. "I intend, still in this mandate, to create interchange with similar associations with other countries, to promote and give more dignity to the artists", she said.
Elthon Chemane said that Local Content is mainly about labor. He promised to develop activity in the field, create clarification initiatives about the various doubts that people have regarding Local Content, and also contribute to the development of AMEPRH.
In turn, Jocelyne Machevo, who is responsible for the Energy sector recalled that Mozambique is a country rich in natural resources, but "unfortunately a large part of this potential is not being explored. She said that development depends on how these resources are explored socially, environmentally, and economically. And at the center of all this, Machevo says, are the human resources involved in the different areas of the energy sector value chain. "It is important that we invest in national human resources in terms of qualification, capacity building, training, and experience to be able to respond to the demands of this growing sector." In the end, the responsible for the energy sector promised to "contribute to the creation of the necessary capacities through the development of different initiatives and the establishment of effective partnerships for the success of human resources. With this, it is intended to "ensure the sustainable development of the energy sector in the long term, and contribute to leverage the national socio-economic development".
In the Sports sector, Ilidio Caifaz emphasized the importance of trained human resources to obtain good results. The former basketball star is of the opinion that it is necessary to bring human resources to sports and vice versa. "We will be the link between the sports professionals and the human resources professionals, and we will count on your support," he said during his speech.
AMEPRH is known as a platform for dialogue between human resources professionals and companies. It also aims to contribute to the improvement of people management in the country and in the world.
