Agostinho Vuma awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and Management in London

Agostinho Vuma condecorado em Londres com o grau Doutor Honoris Causa em Liderança e Gestão

The President of the CTA - Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique - received the professional degree of Doctor Honoris Causa in Leadership and Management from the Califonia Metropolitan University, in a ceremony witnessed by the Mozambican Embassy in London.

Nigeria's Minister of Planning and Finance, Prince Clem Ikanada Agba, was also honored in the same category.

The award was confirmed on Thursday in the British capital, London, during the Annual Business Summit, an event that brought together international entrepreneurs and leaders from May 17 to 19 with the aim of expanding its global reach; creating an opportunity for networking and awarding international prizes to various personalities who stand out for their leadership and commitment to development.

Organized by Leaders Without Borders (LWB) - an international organization focused on strengthening entrepreneurial capacities by establishing an environment conducive to investment opportunities and expanding trade relations at a global level - the Summit was attended by the diplomatic community accredited in the United Kingdom and representatives of various African, European and other governments, in particular His Excellency Prince Clem Ikanada Agba - Minister of Finance and National Planning of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who led the opening session of the event.

The proposal to award the title is an initiative of the LWB and was submitted to the University of California which, after assessing the merits, decided to award the degree in recognition of the role Agostinho Vuma has played in developing the private sector in Mozambique and attracting investment and business partnerships between the country and the rest of the world.

Prior to the awarding of this honorary degree, Agostinho Vuma was featured as a speaker on a panel entitled "Global Sustainable Financing - Opportunities and Challenges".
