The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, is taking part in the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, to be held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, starting on Saturday (15).a.

The event will be held under the theme: "Building a United Front to Promote the Cause of Justice and the Payment of Reparations to Africans".

According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, the Mozambican statesman will take part in parallel events, particularly with his peers, international leaders and financial institutions.

Among the main items on the agenda are Reparatory Justice and Racial Healing, as well as the situation of Peace and Security in Africa. The meeting will also discuss the African Union's participation in the G20 and the process of reforming the United Nations Security Council.

On this trip, the President of the Republic will be accompanied by his wife, Gueta Chapo, and the ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, Education and Culture, Samaria dos Anjos Filemon Tovela, as well as staff from the Presidency of the Republic and other state institutions.
