Rovuma LNG organizes Networking for suppliers

Rovuma LNG organiza Networking para fornecedores

ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada ("EMML"), on behalf of the Area 4 partners, organized two Networking Forums for Suppliers of the Rovuma LNG project, bringing together representatives of the local and international business community, as well as other stakeholders.

The first forum took place in Maputo on March 4, followed by a second event in Pemba on March 6. Both meetings aim to provide a unique opportunity to learn directly about the Rovuma LNG project, connect with professionals in the sector, explore potential opportunities and prepare for the current and future developments of the project.

"The Area 4 Partners organized these sessions to present the activities of the Rovuma LNG project, including the Early Works, and provide information and opportunities for Mozambican companies to position themselves competitively, reinforcing our commitment to the development of local content in Mozambique," said Arne Gibbs, EMML's Managing Director.

The Forums are organized by the MozUp Enterprise Development Center (EDC), an initiative funded by the Rovuma LNG project since 2019.

MozUp represents the basis of EMML and Area 4 Partners' strategy to promote the growth of Mozambican companies and increase the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Rovuma LNG supply chain and related sectors.

With more than 4,000 registered profiles, the Supplier Relationship Management Portal (SRMP) is the main database for suppliers in the oil and gas sector, as well as for other companies looking to contract, establish partnerships and purchase goods and services from local suppliers in Mozambique.
