Since last week, the Rwandan Defence and Security Forces and the civil authorities of Macomia, Cabo Delgado, have authorized the return of the displaced population, sheltered in the neighbourhoods of the town, to the administrative post of Mucojo.

According to a Letter from MozambiqueThe return to Mucojo began last week, while in Quiterajo they are still working.

The same publication states that people are returning with their families, and also adds that fishing activity has begun.

However, the authorities have not yet authorized the return of the population to the administrative post of Quiterajo, where the Defense and Security Forces recently reoccupied and expelled the terrorists from their main bases.
