This morning, motorists complied with the call made by the PODEMOS presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, to leave their vehicles on the streets as early as 8am as a way of protesting against the situation in the country..

Along Avenida Julius Nyerere and other parts of Maputo city, several vehicles were parked in the middle of the roads, bringing traffic to a standstill.

A similar scenario is taking place along National Road number 4 (N4) in the city of Matola, where some demonstrators have put up barricades to prevent vehicles from circulating.

Yesterday, in yet another live On his Facebook page, Venâncio Mondlane called on the Mozambican population to leave their cars in the streets from 8 a.m. for three days, starting today, Wednesday (27), with election protest posters, until they return from work.

"From 8am, in the middle of the road, not on the sidewalks. We'll use our roads as parking lots, with cars full of posters. We'll close the car, we'll walk to work," Venâncio Mondlane appealed, demanding a lot of patience and sacrifice from the Mozambican people.

"Leave the car in the middle of the road with its posters. Leave the car and go to work," insisted the PODEMOS presidential candidate.
