Clésio Jonaze is a contemporary Mozambican guitarist with over 15 years' experience, having taken part in numerous musical projects in Mozambique and beyond.
Clésio became interested in the guitar in the early 1990s in Maputo through the influence of friends and family, in a context of limited access to music, musical instruments and studios in general. Although he comes from a family where he has some artistic offspring such as Paulina Chiziane (writer), Francília Jonaze (actress and writer), Xavier Machiana (musician) among others, Clesio Jonaze has always realized his need to create his own style and assert himself as an independent artist.
Over the years, Clésio has self-taught his own style, created his own sound and presented himself to the music market with a unique concept, bringing added value and complementarity to the musical sound in Mozambique at the time.
