A group of six members of the Maputo City Provincial Electoral Commission are distancing themselves from the content of the minutes and notices that are being submitted to the National Electoral Commission (CNE).
The CNE has begun a process of collecting the original minutes and notices of polling stations from the CPEs in seven of the country's provinces in compliance with a request from the Constitutional Council. The deadline was eight days and ends today.
In a document to which we have had access, the members claim that they were not informed about the request for the minutes and notices; they were not involved in the process of identifying the minutes and notices; and there was no extraordinary session for presentation and deliberation.
