US businessman and politician Donald Trump won today's presidential elections in the United States of America, thwarting the claims of the current vice-president and opponent, Kamala Harris.
It's the second time Trump will lead the White House, after 2016.
This year, the Republican candidate had a narrow victory, so much so that the victory depended, to a greater extent, on the results of the state of Pennsylvania.
Trump will be the first president to serve two non-consecutive terms since Grover Cleveland in 1892, the only other US president to do so.
Trump was elected president for the first time in 2016, defeating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In 2020, he lost re-election to President Biden, in the context of the covid-19 pandemic.
Trump has already declared victory and guaranteed that he will solve the border problem and help the country "heal".
"Let's help the US heal and solve the problem of our borders. The country has never seen anything like this and I want to thank you all. I want to say that I will fight for you and your families. This is going to be a golden age for America and a victory for the people of the United States," said Trump.
