The National Electoral Commission (CNE) assures that the conditions are in place for the elections to be held throughout the country on October 9, but it still has a financial deficit for the payment of MMVs..

According to CNE spokesman Paulo Cuinica, who was speaking on Saturday (21) on the "Linha directa" program on the Radio MozambiqueHe also pointed out that all the logistics for the vote on October 9 are being prepared as normal, as well as the training of electoral agents throughout the country.

"In terms of logistics, we would say that everything is ready, we are training our electoral agents. The MMV training course will start today, Sunday, for at least 200,000 MMVs, including the 10% reserves, who will then be allocated across the country to the 26,330 polling stations that will be operating on the 9th," Cuinica said in a publication by the National Electoral Commission. The CNE spokesman said that on the financial issue, the deficit still prevails, "but we believe that everything is being done so that this situation is resolved in time for us to have elections under the appropriate conditions."

"The deficit is really to make the payments for the MMVs and other logistics relating to the vote on October 9," he said.
