Ossufo Momade, Renamo's presidential candidate, has been working since yesterday in the district of Ilha de Moçambique, Nampula province, in the continuation of the "vote hunt" for this year's elections.
This Sunday, he will take part in a march with the party's supporters in this part of the country and lead a popular rally to present the party's electoral manifesto and try to convince the electorate to vote for him and his political formation. Later today, Ossufo Momade will visit other districts of Nampula and may spend the night in the provincial capital.
During his visit to the districts of Nacala-Porto and Nacala-a-Velha, he promised to invest in projects that would guarantee the country's development, improve the education system and fight corruption, among other initiatives.
Meanwhile, on his arrival in Mossuril on Friday, he said that if he is elected President of the Republic, he will propose a constitutional revision to create three capitals, with Maputo as the political capital, Beira as the seat of Parliament and Nampula as the economic capital. Asking the local electorate to vote, Ossufo Momade said that his party is the salvation of Mozambique. (Source: Jornal Domingo)
