Frelimo's presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, has just arrived at Campo 3 de Janeiro, in Tete City, for the show that will mark the end of his campaign work in Tete province, where he has visited several districts.
Numerous people are already at the event venue (in stall 30, as the field is also known) to hear Chapo's promises for the region if he is elected President of the Republic. The atmosphere is festive.
On the other hand, the rain that has been falling since the early hours in the city of Quelimane, Zambezia province, forced the postponement today of the marathon that the Optimist Party for the Development of Mozambique (Podemos) and presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, had scheduled for Saturday morning. The decision is aimed at protecting the health of those taking part in the event.
According to the campaign director in Zambézia, Jonatan Suleiman, the marathon could take place next Saturday.
Meanwhile, he also said that Venâncio Mondlane will be campaigning this Saturday in the districts of Nicoadala and Morrumbala, where he will lead a popular rally.
Meanwhile, Mateus Tomo, a member of Renamo, revealed, according to sources, that Ossufo Momade, the party's president and presidential candidate, will begin his participation in the electoral campaign this Sunday. Tomo also said that Momade will speak in the first person about the gains made during his trip to Europe.
