Vista Group Holding completes full acquisition of Société Générale bank in Mozambique

Vista Group Holding has completed the acquisition of 100% of Banco Société Générale Moçambique, in a process to expand its presence in African markets. The eight branches will be renamed Banco Vista Moçambique. 

During the process of formalizing the acquisition, the chairman of Vista Group Holding, Simon Tiemtore, stressed that the acquisition of Banco Société Générale Moçambique represents an important step in the Vista Bank Group's journey towards its goal of becoming a world-class pan-African financial services group with operations in 25 countries by 2026.

"This new acquisition allows the Group to increase its support and impact on economic growth and financial inclusion in Africa, and we are now operating in five countries, namely Burkina Faso, Gambia, the Republic of Guinea (Conakry), Mozambique and Sierra Leone," he said.

The VISTA group, which belongs to the Lilium Group LLC, has an extensive range of innovative and accessible banking products, solutions and services for everyone, including individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), companies and governments, thus helping to promote financial inclusion, economic growth and prosperity in the countries of operation.
